Some journeys are more than a vacation. They are an invitation to go deeper, to live more consciously, and to discover new perspectives.
Our yoga trip to South Africa – the WINE.DINE.YOGA week from November 24th to December 1st, 2025 – was exactly that: an exclusive indulgence and yoga trip full of connection, inspiration and special places.
With a small group of 8 participants, we were able to spend an intensive week in one of the most beautiful wine regions of South Africa – around Stellenbosch , Cape Town and the Cape of Good Hope.
Yoga Retreat South Africa – Arrival at Jordan Wine Estate
Our home during the trip was a stylish villa at the Jordan Wine Estate in Stellenbosch . Surrounded by vineyards, wide open spaces, and tranquility, this place provided the perfect setting for a yoga retreat in South Africa that consciously allowed space for slowing down.
Each day began with yoga – sometimes gentle and restorative, sometimes powerful and grounding. I naturally tailored the practice to the individual needs of the group. It supported precisely what this journey was meant to be about: arriving – in this special place, in the moment, and with oneself .
Yoga, Community & Depth
A key element of this yoga retreat was the small group size. With only eight people, a familiar atmosphere quickly developed, allowing for exchange, openness, and genuine connection.
Yoga wasn't about performance, but rather served as a conscious path to greater body awareness, inner clarity, and genuine connection within the group. It's precisely this depth that makes an exclusive yoga retreat so lastingly effective, which is very important to me.
WINE.DINE.YOGA – Yoga & Wine in perfect balance
This week combined mindful exercise with culinary delights. We visited select wineries in the Stellenbosch and Franschhoek region and enjoyed the high-quality, regional cuisine.
Yoga and wine are not mutually exclusive – quite the opposite. Enjoyed mindfully, they complement each other in a special way and make this yoga and wine journey a truly sensual experience.
Cape Town & the Cape of Good Hope – Experience vastness
A highlight of the trip was the excursion to Cape Town with a magical sundowner catamaran tour . The combination of city, sea, and mountains makes Cape Town one of the most fascinating places in the world.
The visit to the Cape of Good Hope also deeply moved many participants. This powerful place symbolizes realignment, expansiveness, and the courage to forge new paths – values that a yoga retreat in South Africa can also convey. Unfortunately, we had very strong winds that day, which prevented some from reaching the lighthouse...
A yoga journey that leaves a lasting impression
This yoga trip to South Africa was more than just a break. It was a consciously designed space for regeneration, inspiration, enjoyment, and personal development.
Many participants took away new ideas for their everyday lives – both physically and mentally.
